Game can't start after patch

Ok, i've download a new patch yesterday, and when I want to start the game, it asked me if I want to update, or play without update.

If I choose update, it will update and later notify it's done, and I can start play. I click on play, nothing appears. I check in task manager, its DragonAgeInquisition.exe active and running in the processes.

Same thing if I choose "play without update" option. Nothing came up, only .exe appear in processes.

I go offline option, still the game can't load up. I went into the game's directory, click on the .exe, still, it just appear in processes.

Have you tried launching Origin, going to your My Games page, right clicking on the icon for DAI and selecting Repair Game? I have seen other posts about this helping pple who had issues with launching the game after the patch.

Try loading an older save game before the auto/quick saves. Maybe 1 to 3 before those.

this seems to work. the "download" tag on the game menu is also removed. Thanks.

I have the same problem. I tried this, repaired the game, but it seems stuck repairing at 100%. I get an error message saying "download failed" and then it foes back to "pause repair." when i resume it, it is stuck at 100%. Anybody know what's going on?

Hmmm, that is very troubling. If it were me, I would go to My Documents folder and copy all my saved files in the Bioware DAI folder, & screenshots, put a copy somewhere else on your HD. I would then consider going through the process of completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Just make SURE those saved files are backed up elsewhere before you start.
It will take a couple hours to download the game again so if you did this right before you went to bed it would be ready for you in the morning and hopefully that will fix the issue for you.
