Game freezes completely on first fight with party

The game freezes completely when I begin the first fight with my party (Cassandra, Varric, and Solas), causing me to force quit the game. I have disabled the Origin overlay in game, turned the graphics down to low, and am running the game in a borderless window.

We would need more details about your system to assist further but I would suggest to try some of the solutions listed here first. Some may help with that issue.
