Make sure the game is running on the Nvidia GPU and not on your integrated graphics. Nvidia's mobile drivers sometimes switch to Intel graphics to save on electricity (and in the case of your laptop it's acting a bit backwards), but it forgets to switch back to the Nvidia GPU when playing EA games. There may be an option to always use the "high-performance Geforce GPU" in the Nvidia control panel (under 'manage 3D settings'), but some people have reported they couldn't find that option.
