Game will not load

I have played after the recent patch and shut down about 1am March 5th. Upon trying to load the game again tonight it will not load. It loads in the Windows process tree but absolutely nothing else happens. I do not get the loading screen, sounds or anything to indicate the game is running but the process tree tells me it is. Nothing has changed on my computer since I shut down at 1 am. I tried loading it online and offline, with and without my virus scanner and nothing happens.

  • Finally figured out the issue. Razer Synapse updated yesterday to version 1.18. For some reason Razer Synapse and Dragon Age Inquisition do not play well together if the "Enable In-Game Configurator" box is checked in your Razer Synapse setup options. Un-check that box and the game will load normally.

  • One extra point to make. The wife has an identical system and her game loads with no issue.

First, try repairing the game by right clicking it in Origin. See if that fixes it.

  • Did not work. After repair the same thing happens, loads cloud synch but game itself does not go to load screen.

Okay, will it launch offline (put Origin in offline mode) with the saves folder empty? (Move the saves to another, safe location temporarily. and, if you have any mods, remove those too. Just see if a vanilla, save free game will launch.

  • Re-installed game from scratch with the same end result after it updated. It will no longer load the game although the process DragonAgeInquisition.exe loads into memory at 10,124K. The "Play" button is greyed out in the Origin screen and hitting the shortcut only loads it into memory again  but at 10,104K. That is as far as the loading process goes.

  • Finally figured out the issue. Razer Synapse updated yesterday to version 1.18. For some reason Razer Synapse and Dragon Age Inquisition do not play well together if the "Enable In-Game Configurator" box is checked in your Razer Synapse setup options.
