Golden nug doesn't appear in Haven

Sorted now, had to load a game I'd completed and do the sync from Skyhold.

Then switched back to my haven profile, the nug appeared and I could do the sync for that game there.

I too see the stone base, but the bug doesn't appear.  I synchronized with a finished file, but when I went back later, it was gone.  

First, you have to have interacted with it once in a post-ending save. (i.e., you need to win the game first)

Second, it only seems to appear if you're logged in to Origin.

 I completed trespasser before I heard about the golden nug, and what I do is delete saves to save storage space. So now my character is stuck at the end of the dlc with no way to use the nug. Is it possible to use the haven one on my next character despite not using it in my first play through because that character completed the story (which is useless now because I can't go back)?

Hope you can help because I don't want to complete an entirely new play through 

I don't have a nug either. I deleted the character that finished the game (non-DLC), is this why I do not have a nug? 

@inquisilavellan You do not have to get to trespasser, the nug is available to those without any expansions, too. You merely need to finish the game then interact with the nug in skyhold (it's downstairs in the crafting area) to upload/sync your schematics. They will then be available to any other character you have/start.

There is no way to return to Skyhold once having left for the Exalted Council. So if you hadn't already synced with the Golden Nug before heading to the Winter Palace, you'll need to load a "post-Victory/pre-Trespasser" save in order to do so.  (Any such save, for any character.)

But once through the main game and having interacted with the Nug once, you don't even have to get to Skyhold in a NG+. His Nugness will be in Haven, just outside the smithy next to the corral. 😇

I'm having same problem,  actually even worst, I'm Canadian moved to Germany,  now with north American account all is good but cant use playstore, made new German account  but I had to buy a new disc euro  compatible got dlcs and all the other ad ons but the golden nug is not there, I'm online with dragon age account and no golden nug

Crazy ... I have never finished the game, but I have the Nug.
I have 7 characters that I play alternately and 6 of them have the Nug. 1 doesn't.

Why would 6 have it and 1 not??
She is in Skyhold like all the rest. Will she get it eventually? 
This game is full of surprises.
