Disable Origin in-game. Who really needs it, anyway? Also, is your PC overheating with other games, such as Battlefield 4? If not, then it could be due to the latest patch. I'm running an unpatched version of the game and my GTX 970 never goes over 72°C. It easily goes over 75°C in Crysis 3, though, but that game is pretty stable as far as uptimes and optimization are concerned.

Which GTX 970 is that? I am running MSI GTX 970 Golden Edition overclocked and I don't cross 66 degrees C ever, even GPU stress tests like Furmark.
