How can I import Dragon Age Origins into Inquisition for Windows

I would like to import my Dragon Age: Origins world settings and Warden into my Dragon Age: Inquisition. I tried to login through the program to export it, but it would not let me log in. After a few hours with tech support, I learned that the online service that used to support Origins isn't there any more.

Is there another way that I can extract the game data to import into the Tapestry for Inquisition?

  • Sorry, but no.  If your DAO and/or DA2 playthrough data was not automatically uploaded to EA's servers, you'll have to manually create the world state(s) you want in the Keep.

  • The only data that could ever be imported into the tapestry were your character's gender, race, and class. Everything else had to be entered manually anyway, making the entire import seem kinda pointless.

  • For anyone who also has this issue now or in the future and bought Dragon Age Origins on Steam, you can try adding your Dragon Age: Origins game to the EA Origin app by using the product code key that should pop up whenever you start-up the game on your Steam app.

I personally first bought DA:O on Steam over 10 years ago and was having similar importing issues with my DA:O copy to Dragon Keep, but once I added my DA:O game to the EA origin app by using my DA:O product key on Steam, I was able to get my save data my Origins playthroughts into the Dragon Keep website before uploading it to my Inquisition game.

Unfortunately, if you don't have your DA:O product key, you will have to update the world manually using the Dragon Keep website and use one of the generic heroes listed on the site.

    Hope this helps.
