How to install DLCs for DragonAge 2 on Steam (EA Play)

I have already downloaded all Dlcs from this website https://help.ea.com/au/help/faq/dlc-for-classic-games/

but when I tried to install it, it said DA2 needs to be installed first but I have already installed it. Can someone help please?

I have spent several hours trying to get this to work. Found another solution, Easiest step to fix DLC issues for DA 2 Ultimate Edition from EA Play on Steam.
I will write it down here for future reference, it might be helpful for another player if they came across my post. This is 100% guarantee fixed for STEAM user
1. Open Dragon Age 2 and Login, after login is completed, quit the game
2. download all dlc from https://help.ea.com/au/help/faq/dlc-for-classic-games/
3. download 7zip from https://www.7-zip.org/ (You have to install 7zip, only 7zip can let you open inside .exe file, RAR won't let you do that)
4. After you done installing 7zip. go to your desired dlc .exe and use your mouse
- right click, search for 7zip and click it, click open archive
5.you will see folders inside .exe file for example
$TEMP,
$PLUGINSDIR,
$_2_
6. Open each of its folders and drag all items into :\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dragon Age II\addins
7.Open the game and enjoy

I have the ultimate edition of da 2 for steam and there's no dlc whatsoever in the dlc file through the game i checked store and it said installed but nothing shows up

hi! I know this post is 2 years old, but im having the same issue and I've already done this fix and my dlc list in game looks exactly like your screenshot, they both have asterisks too, which says unauthorized. i played the game but i noticed that only the black emporium worked, the unauthorized dlcs didn't. Did you get to play all dlcs on your end?

edit: I fixed it! In the end, my sister had to buy another copy of the ultimate edition on steam and gift it to me. It now has all dlcs and I can play it fine now. Good thing its so cheap. If you have a few more coins to spend, another fix is to ask / pay someone to buy it for you with their steam account :))

As what is your Dragon Age II edition listed? (Ultimate Edition, Standard Edition?)

Hi! I originally bought the Ultimate edition, but EA app lists it as standard edition, and the steam game itself did not have the dlc titles despite it saying ultimate edition.

I fixed it! In the end, my sister had to buy another copy of the ultimate edition on steam and gift it to me. It now has all dlcs and I can play it fine now. Good thing it was cheap.

I think this was unfortunately indeed the only way to fix this problem if your game was listed as standard edition.
