How to play in windowed mode without going in game?

 I think adding "-windowed" to the comments line in the game shortcut (there's something like that in Origin, right click, "game properties" too) does it. But if not, I think running it in compatibility mode should do it. If you mean you can't access the main menu to change it but can at least run the loading and stuff, Alt + Enter.

Try repairing the game it worked for me
