How to setup push to talk

It is probably somewhere really obvious, but where do I setup push to talk in the multiplayer chat.  Pretty sure my mic is on all the time

This is quite a problem! I'm on my laptop, with a built-in microphone, so what I've resorted to doing when I don't want people to hear me or what's in my background, I disable the microphone under Recording Devices. It's not push-to-talk, but it saves others the trouble of muting me or listening into private conversations.

There's no "Push-to-talk" option to speak of, that I can find, yet. They should make it more obvious, or add one in.

Yeah, as far as I can tell not only is there no push to talk option, there's no option to disable the mic either. That is, unless you unplug any microphone device or disable it on Windows.

  • actually it is possible to set up push to talk for Dragon Age Inquisition. by default your PTT key is ctrl. to enable/disable PTT you need to go to audio under your options menu... and at the bottom of that list there should be something that says "Voice Chat Behavior;" change it to press to talk, and voila, you are set.  other voice behavior options include Voice Activated, and OFF.

Thanks, I found it oddly frustrating how difficult it was just to find the default Push to Talk key.  Considering the manual is online it should be easy enough for them to alter/add issues like this.  Now the question is how do you change the Push to talk key for multiplayer to something I'd prefer over the Control key...
