I can't play or download Dragons Age II Mac

Hello. I purchased DA II Mac about 20 hours ago. The game shows up in Origin but it's greyed out. No play or download options. Any suggestion on what's going on?

  • Dragon Age II is a 32-bit application and is not compatible with macOS versions that eliminated 32-bit support (starting with Catalina in October 2019). Mojave was the last macOS to support 32-bit apps. If you have anything newer than that, the game will not run.

If you have updated your Mac since October 2019, it's difficult, but not impossible.

One way to do it is to to install Windows on your Mac. Windows isn't free, though, and you'll need a Mac with an Intel processor. Apple has a support page about it: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201468

You could get Parallels to create a Windows virtual machine and run it through that. Parallels is not cheap, but it is quite handy to have. I believe there’s a trial available for it too so you can try if it’s something you need before you buy. You can also try a cloud gaming service, but that’s again an additional expense… other than that I am afraid there are no other options to make it work on your mac
