Hi guys i know its late but i dont know if i should go human or elf . Human i suppose look ok in robes i dont know but elves look too skinny can you give me advice please but i think they are both good for mages but elf has more lore i think i dont know what are your opinions should i go human or elf mage just know i want to go with a mage enchanter
This is all really personal choice, as both can work through the game. I generally go Human mage, simply because I like the extra skill early in the game. It may also depend on who you want to romance, if any, and how you see your character in your mind.

But just like @mcsupersport said, it really depends on your personal preference. Both races have some unique dialogue lines and can interact differently with certain characters. With an elven Inquisition you're kinda stuck with being a Dalish elf as well, so it might spark some interesting conversations.
Still, human mage will probably always be my first choice in DA...
