Inquisition Perk "True Grit" Not Working

I invested a perk point into the True Grit perk; I was very happy about the prospect of a 10% in all resistances across all party members. However, I checked "our" stats and there has been no change. Is this a bug? Is there a fix, and if not, could it please be patched? It is pretty sadistic to dangle that kind of prize before us and then snatch it away after we have invested one of our very precious perks. FYI, I am playing on Xbox One if it makes a difference. I understand I am not the only one with this issue. Thanks for your help!

It wasn't working back in December, they just recently patched it to work for all party members.

Actually I think the Perk says it gives a 10% increase to existing defenses, not resistances, ie ranged, melee and magic and a 10% increase to the number you already have which can be a lot or nothing at all.

    True Grit

Harsh environment training can be dangerous, but will harden anyone into a survivor.

All party members gain a 10% increase to all defenses

But I think it may be bugged for party members other than your main.

Thank you very much for letting us know, MyMilynn. Sorry I didn't notice this til now, it took a while and in the meantime I moved on to other things, as one does. I will look forward to a better, truer True Grit on my next playthrough once all the DLC comes in. Thanks also to the others who answered!
  • I can confirm your observation Deders1980, you must leave Skyhold to see the benefits. Base defenses & resistances for my party members while on a mission changes to 10%.

For any moderators/administrators reading this newly bumped topic from 2015, this topic was the top google result when searching "Dragon Age: Inquisition True Grit" without the quotes, so I'm sure other people will stumble upon this topic too when wondering why they don't see an immediate change to their character stats.
