After playing the game for a couple of hours, my CPU temp spiked to over 85 degrees celius and the autoprotection kicked in and shut the computer down. Reading around, it seems other AMD processor u...
I have a AMD FX 8350 and haven't run into this issue, though I have an aftermarket cooler.
Being with AMD processors for some time now they tend to work a little hotter and if you haven't would highly recomend looking into an aftermarket cooler as well.
If you have one I would double check it is working smoothly because even if the processor maxes out at 100% useage it shouldn't overheat unless there is an issue with the cooling.
Well, if you're GPU is overheating it technicaly has nothing todo with the game.
The cooler of the GPUs are designed in such a way that even @ maximum load the GPU will not overheat.
It it does, then there is something wrong with your GPU cooler!
his problem is the CPU not the GPU. What he posted is the processor model from AMD not gpu model.
Ok, then it's his CPU overheating, doesnt change the thing that with good cooling it should never be able to do that.
I am going to look into an aftermarket CPU fan, this build was the first time I got lazy and just used the fan that came with the CPU. That being said, I have never had the machine overheat playing ANY other games.
Yeah DA: Inquisition seems to be putting a lot of load on the CPU for some so probably why you've been good until this point.
I would highly recomend picking up Cooler Master Hyper N520 with some good paste, usually can find the cooler for roughly $30USD, and my temps have yet to go over 75 even at full load.
