Installation on Xbox360

I have been searching all over for an answer to my question and can't seem to find a conclusive answer. I have a 4GB Xbox 360. (The newer version of Xbox 360 that doesn't have a hard drive that clips on and off easily). My question is whether I can purchase an upgraded external hard drive to play DA:I. My wife bought it for me as a gift and I'm bummed I haven't been able to play it. I'm willing to pony up and buy an external hard drive from GameStop, but I won't waste my time if it doesn't work. I also have no idea how to connect it on the new Xbox 360. Could use some help.

An internal hard drive is required. External hard drives will not work as detailed below.

Dragon Age: Inquisition on the Xbox 360 requires an Xbox 360 Hard Drive with 7.5 GB storage space for a mandatory installation of game content as well as future updates.

    • You can not play your game without this installation.
    • This content can not be installed on flash memory sticks or internal flash memory, such as the internal memory of the Xbox 360 Slim, or 4GB, model.
    • Hard Drives are available for the Xbox 360 Slim/4GB, Arcade, and Core consoles and sold separately.

Note, you will also need an Xbox LIVE Gold account to play Dragon Age: Inquisition online multiplayer.

My question is why is it not possible to install the second disc to your hard drive? I have asked this question before and EA reps have told me that I do not have enough space or I am using the wrong type of storage... I am NOT using an external drive. I highly doubt that disc 2 takes up over 50 GB of hard drive space so needless to say I have not gotten any straight/helpful answers anywhere. It does not even give the option to install the second disc on 360. I hate having to play this game when it has to be read by the laser. So I ask why is this the case and why does it seem that no one from EA seems to want to address this problem that I along with several other Xbox 360 players have had?

Im sorry to say that i think this is stupid as there is no reason as to why we snhouldnt be able to save the games on an external device. The fact you cannot is just time wasting and the whole point of you having to buy something to save it on is a nuisance. This game has been long awaited by gamers and you have let us down.
