[Investigating] EA app DA:I Multiplayer Friend Invites Not Working

Hi   I am new to Dragon Age Inquisition, and I am trying to play multiplayer with a friend (both on PC).   We are always getting the same error message "there was an error joining the game". ...

    Hello everyone,

    We apologize for the delayed response. We want to assure you that we are aware of the Multiplayer issue impacting Dragon Age: Inquisition.

    Our teams have been diligently working on this issue, and it appears they have been able to resolve a portion of the Multiplayer service. This means that players within the same region should be able to play together once again. However, the Multiplayer feature is not yet operational for individuals attempting to play from different counties (cross-region). This is an issue our team is still actively investigating.

Tried to play DA:I today, can't even invite a friend to join. We tried both creating public lobbies and searching for the lobby but no joy. Can't invite friends to ME3 co-op either. I'm sure there were reasons to move from Origin to EA Desktop, but surely the intention wasn't to break all multiplayer functionality in key games? Is this the same issue as last year, or is this new?

@dstrawberrygirl It is something the team is aware of and working on getting updated. The invite is affecting more than one game or was at one point and not just DAI. Once they push an update you may see the game update but it may happen on the backend. 

Once we have an update after that is pushed out to players we will post an update for everyone.

    I just also placed a request into this chat regarding not being able to play mutiplayer on DAI. I see from this reply it was 3 weeks ago. Has any resolution or fix been found to alleviate this problem. I have also paid extra money for "premium" credits and now they are worthless if mutiplayer doesn't work. If there is no fix, may I be refunded the cost of my "premium" purchase?

      @DeviousDaz They are going to update MP for DAI and ME3. No invites should not stop players from playing it in general. There is not an ETA when this will be pushed out that I can see.

      As for any refunds, if it was through the EA app, it would go through live support. If this was on console, or through another platform, I.E. Steam, Epic, etc, you would need to reach out to their support as we cannot refund those purchases.

        Hi I’m trying to play multiplayer with my friend but every time we invite each other we get this error message. How to solve this?

    My hubby & I are currently trying to multi-player game Dragon Age Inquisition 6-23-2024 and getting nothing but frustration. I don't understand why it's touted as multi-player without actually being able to do so. Spent money on a game we cannot run together.

      Hi! Try going into the dungeon and invite him when you're inside! Or vice versa! It works for me and my friends! 🙂

    Pretty disappointing I'm checking this thread literally 1 year later and there's not a single fix for this issue. Big thanks to the other player who notified us this game is sunset, while EA mods pretend it isn't. Disappointment.
