Is there a way to import a previously made character face?

I love my inquisitor's face. Was hoping that there is a way of using it again in a new playthrough. I searched but could find any info about this, save for screenshots while creating the face. Thank you!

  • Unfortunately not. If you remember the sliders you can recreate that way, but there's no transfer, sorry.

Thanks. I hope there is a way to find out the slider values. This is my first DA game, so I wasnt able to do what I had to to save the sliders.

I hope they're going to implement face codes, like in Mass Effect 2. Those were really handy.

  • Sorry for reviving a dead post but in case others come here, saw the “find the sliders” and realized the black emporium has a mirror that lets you see them, for any curious in the future

Thanks for sharing this tip @Firegem2253!

It's definitely helpful if someone wants to recreate a specific Inquisitor 🙂

  • I have played ME3 dozens of times and it lets you use a save from a previously won game. With this save you import the face of that character. It then shows you the one from the saved game or custom face and the standard face. This has worked out well for me. Why should I have to spend 30 to 45 minutes customizing my face every time I start a NEW GAME? What a pain! Plus, with the sliders, it's impossible to match the face you had before. If number references, x and y values, were added to the sliders, that would make a big difference! You could probably match the face identically.

Using the keep has plenty of problems. I played DA:I over seven times as a male human. I decided I wanted to play as a female elf. There was no way I could change sexes and had to start a totally new game. No Golden Nug, nothing. I think I finally figured out how to link the games, but I spent hours trying to figure this out when I just wanted to play the game. Now I don't even remember how to do it. After I finished that game and updated it to the keep, I found I still had to customize the face on a new game. Very frustrating!

At this point BIOWARE probably won't make any changes in DA:I. Hopefully they will do something for the next game.
