You have a base points for all that start off at 10 each. You can craft armor or get drops of armor or gear that will enable you to change the attributes you want for your character. In addition there will be opportunities to get more added to the base attributes later in the game. Notice the dexterity and constitution attributes are higher than the others? For a Rogue you would want a higher Dexterity for a Mage Magic and a warrior Strength. It makes perfect sense.
