Jaws of Hakkon: Ameridan's End issue

When I start the quest Ameridan's End, I travel to a camp to finish something, but when I come back, I start the quest and I see the people climbing the walls, but no enemies. No enemies appear and show at all. Even if I finished everything and tried to play offline, nothing. I wish there were more patches because there are obviously bugs still in this game. I don't know what do and I am this close to never playing this game again. Please help me if you can!

Hi, I actually went back to it during the pandemic and just recently as of today. I had three old saves where the oldest took me back to my world home so I had to redo some things and get back to Jaws of Hakkon.

I redid the mission, went thru the conversations, and miraculously, it finally resolved itself. It just took 7 years to get there lol.

Did you talk to Thane Sun Hair and, go with her after the cutscene?

Yes, I did. But, when the quest started, I traveled back somewhere in Frostback Basin to finish up a last side quest.

Can you reload to before you left the fortress and play it through, or before talking to Sun Hair and do the side quest? You can still do quests in the Basin after Ameridan's End, it's just night there after that is all. I supect that leaving after initiating the entrance to the fortress bugged it for you.

That's too much work to do all over again. Plus, it would probably result in the same thing: stuck in Jaws of Hakkon.

@Humblegrind8 Glad to hear that you were finally able to get past that point in the game. 7 years is quite a while, but alas you did it.

Just as a side note: what I do in these instances is save the game as a completely new save file. You can keep or delete the old ones, your choice.

I then remove the DLC (if that is part of the issue) and reinstall just that
Repair the game, and then log back into the new save file.

@EA_Shepard Yeah I see that now lol I would have told my 17 year old self that and lose the rage 😂 Thankfully all it took was going back a previous save and not restarting the entire game all over. Now we just need a 4K enhancement ✔️

For real. That 4K would be amazing! I am glad it worked out. I put like a good 1K hours into this game when it first launched so i understand that completely.
