Just brought this controller for pc but DAI wont let me switch from keyboard/mouse to game pad. Why is that

Could you give more details about the controller?
Is it a third part controller that can be used on a game console? If it's a controller for Xbox 360 or Xbox One, it should normally work in DAI. However, if it's a controller for PS3 or PS4, then it lacks Xinput support and doesn't work in DAI right away.
