MAC - Game can't install.

Hi!

I am currently trying to install Dragon Age 2 on my 13-inch 2017 Macbook Pro (Catalina)

Downloading has completed and says 'finalizing'. Clicking the game's icon brings up the side screen to hit install, but once I click it it flickers as if installing in 0.01 second and goes back to the word install. I can just click the install over and over and it's still there. Also still stuck in the download manager.

I have tried uninstalling(with thirdparty app), reinstalling. Logging in and out. Even tried ResetOrigin. Still same problem.

Can anyone help?

@vividroute I'm sorry, but Dragon Age 2 isn't compatible with Catalina. The game is 32-bit, and Catalina is 64-bit only. So your only option is to install and play in another OS, for example installing Mojave on an external hard drive, or Bootcamping your Mac.

@vividroute I'm sorry, but Dragon Age 2 isn't compatible with Catalina. The game is 32-bit, and Catalina is 64-bit only. So your only option is to install and play in another OS, for example installing Mojave on an external hard drive, or Bootcamping your Mac.

@Shaga69 The version of SimCity offered through Origin is also 32-bit, so it wouldn't run in Catalina either. But the version available through the App Store has been updated to run in Catalina. You'd need to buy it separately though, even if you owned the Origin version.

@puzzlezadd I just checked it out on Appstore and it says I need a 64 Bit Processor to run it. So it could be something else that is wrong with mine.

But thank you for getting back to me so promptly.

@Shaga69 Your processor is a 64-bit processor, that is if your Mac isn't almost two decades old. The App Store version runs in Catalina; the Origin version does not.

Hello, I've played sim city on my mac laptop beforehand, and uninstalled it a few months back to get space. I tried downloading it last night and im having the same issue, its just stuck on finalising. I too am on Catalina 🙂

@FroxyRoxy The version of SimCity available through Origin is 32-bit only and therefore won't run in Catalina. Sorry.
