I was just playing the game and I took a break I turned my PS3 back on press play. Game loads normally but when it gets to the part to press start there is no music so I press start no menu comes up, I wait. It freezes and locks up my PS3. So I reinstalled the game still does the same thing. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the disk, no scratches on bottom or top of the disk and it still wont work /:
Hi sirsmith148,
I'm not sure if reinstalling the game has an effect of the Game Data Utility folder but corrupted files on PS3 are often the reason why a game suddenly starts freezing so you may try the following:
- While in the Playstation 3 Cross-Menu Bar (XMB) navigate to the ‘Game’ section.
- Scroll through this section until you find a folder called ‘Game Data Utility’
- Open the folder to populate the Game Data list
- Scroll though the Game Data list until you find Dragon Age: Origins.
- With the game entry you need highlighted, press the Triangle button
- An options menu associated with the game you have highlighted will appear on the right hand side of the menu.
- Select ‘Delete’ and press X to confirm.
- Once it's done, turn off and on your console.
Hope that helps,
Eve
