Map to a waterfall bug?

Hi,

I have a problem with the "map to a waterfall" quest. I do have the quest, but when I go to the spot with the treasure (double checked with videos etc. that it's indeed the right spot) there is no signal when I search. I can loot all the iron around, but the spot itself isn't highlighted and I can't loot it. I play on PC btw.
