Menu Freezing Solution (Quad Core)

Does you game freeze on the main menu after a few seconds? Do you see the soldiers marching, then it freezes and the music plays on for a while and stops also? Do you got a Quad Core CPU? If so he...

!UPDATE!
If you have any monitor that is > 60hz and experiencing this problem, there is another solution that seems to work.
Navigate to your save folder: C:\Users\(YOURUSER)\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save
open ProfileOptions_profile in a text editor
Look for a field called GstRender.FullscreenRefreshRate
Change the number at the end to 60 or 30
Save file and start the game
DO NOT CHANGE YOUR DISPLAY SETTINGS IN GAME OR THIS FILED WILL GET RESET AND GAME WILL NOT BE PLAYABLE AGAIN
For some reason, if you set your display to one of the > 60hz options and switch between full/windowed, it adds this field into your ProfileOptions_profile and will cause the game to freeze in the main menu. I personally have a 144hz monitor and it changes this field to 144.001. The game then freezes within 15 seconds of sitting in the main menu.

  This did not work for me. tried both 30 and 60.
  While in there, I noticed there is a profile file for raptr. I deleted that out. doesn't seem to have mattered. Still have the issue.
