Same issue. I spent a lot of time on this. I got to the hinterlands and started getting random crashes and then I started getting crashes on the title screen. it crashed so much i reinstalled the game and got the same title screen lockups instantly. I decided to try a new HDD and reload my OS. after installing everything anew and getting all the latest drivers and windows updates I tried again. CRASH - right of the bat. all the latest updates and no other software installed on my PC and it locks up on the title screen. 12hrs of updates and downloads and still screwed. I found this thread and so far disabling the 3rd core on my CPU has worked and i can run the game. I had to start a new toon since my save file got corrupted in all the crashes and have not made it back to the hinterlands yet. I also have a friend with a Q9550 and he has had some of the same crashes but a lot less than me.
