Modify Dagger and dagger stats

Hi! i don't know if someone has the same problems.

1) I tryed to modify a crafted dagger adding a crafted handle, but it's no possible, its slot is not available. But if I used a dropped handle, I can add it to the crafted dagger. Is this normal for daggers or maybe I have a problem?

2) Another question. When I compare this 2 daggers I have this result:

Click here to view the result

So a dagger with 229 DPS + 76 AOE + 6% attack + 5% armor penetration + 6 dexterity its better than a dagger with 466 DPS + 137 AOE + 11 dexterity + 11 finesse? 😕mileysurprised: I have the same result if I compare the 229DPS dagger with others with 319DPS, 324DPS, 321DPS...

Maybe I'm missing something, so I would like that someone please explain why is this happening.

Thanks for your help and good hunting!

  • There are 2 types of daggers - normal and dual blade. And there are handles for each type. You are probably trying to attach the wrong type of handle.

As for comparison, red is worse, green is better (this is like traffic lights in North America-green for go, red for stop). The game is telling you the 229 DPS blade is worse. It will always say that because it only compares DPS, no other stats on the blade.

Also, DPS isn't necessarily the best indicator. Adding a demon slaying rune only increases DPS against demons. It won't help against templars or animals like wyverns.

And abilities are based on the base damage number. So an ability that does 300% damage (or 3 times damage) with a 200DPS dagger/75 damage base will generate 225 points of damage with the ability. A sword with 125 DPS but 100 Damage base will generate 300 points of damage with an ability. Just something to keep in mind, but it affects warriors more than the other classes because they have a wider choice of weapon. So a high DPS axe may be worse than a low DPS mace if you rely on abilities for damage output, depending on the base damage.
