Mouse Doesn't Highlight Selections Properly
When I use keyboard/mouse for my control scheme, the mouse does not highlight the areas where I place the cursor properly. In the game menus, the areas about three inches above the mouse cursor is selected and the same problem happens in-game as well. I have a fresh install of Windows 8.1 Pro and I'm using a Corsair M95 mouse with all the latest drivers and firmware updates.
Everything is fine when I use an XBOX One controller, but I'd rather use the mouse. Can anybody help me figure out where to go from here?

I have found the problem and suspect it might help others with this problem. In a fresh install of Windows 8.1, I had enlarged the font and icon size to one notch higher than the recommended lowest setting (under Control Panel/Appearance and Personalization/Display) because of my ginormous monitor . Everything looks good on the desktop, but this game apparently does not like it because I was unable to use a mouse properly in the game until I returned the icon and font size to the smallest default size. Now all is well and I can pick up the broken pieces of my life and move on.
