My cloud save is out of sync. Can I upload my local save back into the cloud?

I disabled cloud saves for DA:I because I was having issues crashing at the Menu and I heard that turning off some things such as Origin In-Game and cloud saving might resolve this issue. After the first patch I renabled Origin In-Game and cloud saves and haven't had any issues crashing at the Menu.

Now anytime I launch DA:I, Origin informs me that my local save and my cloud save are out of sync. I use my local save because I am now 10 hours into the game on that save. There is the option to "Revert" the save from the Origin client which says,

"You are now reverting to a locally stored save file. This will overwrite any locally stored data you've previously downloaded from the cloud. Data stored remotely in the cloud will be unaffected."

I do not fully understand what this means. I would like to move my current local save into the cloud but I have no idea what will happen if I click "Revert." Is it possible to upload my local save back into the cloud after my local and cloud saves have become out of sync?

  • When it gives you the prompt to select cloud or local. Just select local data. If you are afraid of the results find your save file (C:\Users\*User*\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age) and copy it to a save location so that way if it is replaced you could always just revert it.
