My dragon age games Origin and 2 constantly loading cloud storage

Help. Dragon age origins and now Dragon age 2, take 30-40 minutes when I open them to load cloud storage. I wanted to delete everything but there is nothing on ea website and origin is not working. What am I to do????

  • Hey @RussianCrazy85

That's definitely rough. Since Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 are both older titles those save files weren't really created with Cloud storage in mind. The files can get pretty large.

In the past there was a way to sort of trick Origin into overwriting your cloud storage with local storage, which you may still be able to do. I haven't tried this in quite a while, bear in mind, so there's a chance it may no longer work. The steps are as follows:

    1. Open your Origin Application Settings and click on the Installs & Saves tab

    2. Click the button to disabled Saves under the Cloud Storage section

    3. Exit the Origin client.

Once Origin is closed try launching it again in Offline mode. If you disconnect your PC from the internet and launch Origin you should be able to just enter your login credentials and start up the client Offline. See if you can start up Dragon Age: Origins or Dragon Age 2 once Origin starts up in offline mode.

If you're able to launch the games check and see if the particular saves you want are there. If so, shut down Origin one more time, then reconnect your PC to the Internet. The next time you launch Origin re-enable Cloud Saves in the same place where you disabled them in the Application Settings

The next time you launch the games it should ask you if you want to overwrite the cloud saves with your local saves.

Let me know how that goes if you're able to give it a shot. Thanks!

  • @EA_Kent Thank you, I figured it out, pressing both the start botton and the double-window one gets you access to all storage and you can delete things out of there. This is my 6 play through of all of dragon age games 😀

Good to know! Thank you for following up and letting me know how you were able to get it fixed. 👍

  • I haven't bought da2 but i got it with ea play and it doesn't show up on origin but my problem is ea isn't allowing me to play it because it keeps saying the cloud storage for this game exceeds 1 gb. clear some of your local saves but nothing on the internet has helped me yet and i already have accidentally lost all my saves.
