My friend has been having issues with Qustodio

Hello All,

My friend Kryptek07 is currently having an issue with the origins friend service and chat appearing offline. Together we have figured out that it is because of Qustodio, a monitoring service,. I do not know if it is an issue with ea.com on working with Qustodio or Qustodio problem directly but I would appreciate some advice or direct help with resolving this issue to finally be able to play apex legends with my friend.

  • Qustodio is a Parental monitoring and site blocking software.  Most likely it is a setting or feature with the program that will either have to be modified by the Parents(whoever is in control of the software and installed it) or taken up with Qustodio help.

Doubt anyone here can do much for you, as the general advice to software interfering with Origin or a game is to disable the problem software to play/use Origin.  Since this was probably put in place by someone else, and thus would cause issues disabling it(if you could without password) then take it up with the controllers of the software.

  • @ThandalNLyman Thank you for your concern. Interestingly enough the monitoring service that was being used by my friends parents had a issue with routing any game from the origin client. This was acknowledged and fixed on Qustido’s end and now he is able to play finally. Also sense it was on the family router it affected everyone even my fiend who is 20 and can play the game without permission from family.

Still, it was the "parental controls" that were causing the issue, not the game.  😇
