NO Amulets of Power after Patch 5?

If the play is from patch 4 (doesn't matter if it's a new save slow, surely), then I bet you're affected by the bug.
What needs to be tested is if brand new Patch 5 saves are affected.
Edit: Thx abdel. Seems that not even new saves are safe from that bug....(seriously EA/Bioware.....seriously).
I've gone back to pre-patch 5 saves to check it out, and it doesn't seem to matter. It appears that once the patch 5 game code is applied to the game, all Amulets of Power from chests and drops disappear. I even went so far as going back to Crestwood on my original play through (pre-patch 2), and there was no Amulet of Power.
However, Amulets of Power obtained through War Table Operations remain intact. Hopefully the patch developers won't find a way to make them disappear as well... The ability point from Inquisition Perks still applies correctly as well.
Still hoping that this won't be the case on a new game started from Patch 5 code, but I'm not very optimistic at this point. I'll update this post as I find out, and hopefully someone from the Dev Team is reading this. If they are, I'd be glad to try out any other ideas they have.
I know it's not all because Blackwall's amulet from Adamant was available. So some are gone and some are not.

i know I mentioned it, but it may have been on the other "amulets of power not spawning" thread.
PC normal version.
Also, I was able to loot Cassandra's amulet with a new game (made after patch 5). I admit I do not have any pre-patch saves that had not looted this amulet to compare against. I'll just keep a personal running summary as I post here so no one has to dig back through pages.
PC Pre-Patch Missing Amulets Of Power:
1) Inquisitor amulet in broken mirror during Here Lies the Abyss in the Fade
2) Varric's amulet in Valammar
3) Cole's amulet from kiling Imshael
4) Inquisitor amulet at end of frost doors in Forbidden Oasis
PC Pre-Patch Amulets that did appear:
1) Blackwall's during Adamant
PC Post-Patch Amulets that I have found:
1) Cassandra's amulet in Fallow Mire
2) Varric and Ironbull amulets from war missions
3) Solas amulet from elf quest in Hinterlands
The fact I found Cassandra's where as other pre-patch saves could not, gives me hope. I'll push on. Next up, Valammar!!! 😕mileytongue:
Thx for the testing blee23. I managed to get Cassandra's one, but I lack the willpower to go to Valammar. And if I have to go thou the intro again, I'll burn my PC down with refined napalm.
At most, I'll see if I can get Solas' amulet, as it's pretty close. But I'd say that if Varric's amulet in Valammar appears for you, then it's pretty surely an old save issue exclusively.
EDIT: Yep, Solas amulet adquired, thou it's not from a chest, so it's hardly compelling proof. I guess it all goes to you and Valammar 🙂 Although I admit the ones I'm most worried about are the ones in the Fade, Creswood and the Forbidden Oasis for the Inquisitor.
Quick update. No amulet of power for Varric in Valammar. It's possible they moved it to a new container with only one item, say in the area with Bianca's questline, but no telling if it will spawn there until I have the quest or not.
So at least one of the amulets is gone post patch 5 with a new game (PC version).
I'm a few shards short of the final blue door in forbidden oasis. I'll update that too soon. I don't have much hope though anymore.
Thanks again for the update, and I'd appreciate futher ones. But I think I'm gonna definitely wait (AGAIN) before beginning my new playthough.
