No longer getting any approval from any follower

So I just noticed, after killing three dragons... that I wasn't getting any approval from Iron Bull (he was in my party)

Then finished up Blackwall's find the artifact quests... and got no approval.  I have no Idea what happened but none of my companions are giving me any approval for anything I do.  The last thing I remember getting approval for was Cole's quest line.

Is there anything I can do apart from starting over?

    I went back 3 hours and was getting credit with Varric for killing red Templars, so I did Coles quest again, then back to no approval.  So I went back a save and ignored Cole's quest and went and killed a dragon with Ironbull in the party... no approval.  This is rather game breaking for me since the interactions and quips are one of the big reasons I love this game.

    I am having the same exact problem on Xbox One. I only noticed because I want to romance iron bull. When i killed the first high dragon he approved but the next two he did not. I thought maybe i just didnt notice it but i purposely tried to make other people mad (by following dragon age wiki) but everyone else was the same. Every now and then someones approval or disapproval indicator will show but its not how it used to be

    If you max out at approval for a character, you will stop seeing approval notices for that character. Chances are you're best friends with everyone if you're at the killing dragons stage.


    You could try to get disapproval to test this out.

    I've followed the wiki guide to test but no approval or disapproval shows when its supposed to do it. It appears sporadically. Just for an example, I have been trying to romance iron bull but no option for it and im through 50 % of the game. If I was at max then we should be able to have a relationship. I have killed dragons with him, have completed his personal quests, and im not in any other relationships. Not only could I be in a relationship but after an hour of playing with no approval i suddenly get one approval with him or someone else that has stopped showing
