Ok, do you know about DragonAge Keep??
Reason I ask, is that is the heart of the downloading of a world state. You have to log into the Keep, verify or set up your world state, and then set it for use as the download world state. If you haven't done this, then yeah, you can't import a world. If you have done this, then you have an issue between your keep and your game. So, have you set up the keep?? Cause it sounds like not.....

yeah I have set up keep, I have been able to connect before but that was 3 years ago. maybe there is something i am missing in keep. The site says that my world state is synced with the game, but the game does not reflect this.

@Dfryed556 There have been a few instances of server issues recently where the Keep (and golden nug) haven't worked (hence the thread you found, that one was resolved when the server issues at that time were). How long have you been having your current issue? If it's a server issue it's possible you might just need to wait a few days.
You mention you haven't had this issue in the past, so I'm assuming you can only import a custom world state when you're starting a new game, and currently when you do that it's not giving you that option? Has been quite a while since I played so I can't remember what it says, just that if it's custom it should have a time and date on it.

I think the first time I noticed it was back in 2015 or 2016(I don't remember the exact date). After I start a new game where it gives you the option to choose race, class, difficulty it goes to the "The world so far..." where the only option I get is default world state and a message at the bottom saying that if I want to import a world state I need to log into Dragon age keep. I'm assuming that the game is not communicating with dragon age keep since the characters I created from my last attempt about 4 months ago has not been loaded into keep. hopefully it will work in a couple days if not oh well. thanks for the response🙂
