It's not just an Nvidia problem. I have the same problem on a Radeon, with the latest (according to AMD, at least) Catalyst drivers. The only way I'm able to play the game is in full-screen window. If I try to load it in full screen, I get that weird low-rez pink striped screen.
Ik had teamviewer running in my systray so i can take over my pc from somewhere else. Disabling this fixed the problem. The game now runs and starts in full screen. I also posted this on the Nvidia forum.

Stop suggesting closing teamviewer! Not everyone have that software and even if all of us did it was posted here a million times!
Stop saying that full screen and windowed full screen are the same! They're not, and again there are tons of comments about it. Full screen is NOT windowed full screen!
I'm sorry for the outburst but this issue is driving me nuts! No fix, no comment from EA or nvidia about that matter, and no one reads any of the comments to see if their solution was suggested before.
I'm lucky that my 870m can handle the game with the horrifying post-patch stutter and the lack of true fullscreen, but for crying out loud:
FIX!

Im not as lucky to have 850m with asus overclock. Still i am supposed to have around 40-50 fps at high/medium/no-aa.
guess what fps do I have at this settings? 25-28. awesome. all thanks to windows 8 force vsync and "fullscreen"
Having such an fps+this new combat system(its very unresponsitive, fps makes it worse) is stupid. unplayable.
And ofc I cant refund this **bleep**. awesome.
