It's highly inappropriate to ignore a thread that has gone on for 21 pages... A simple "We're know about the issue" is a text book answer from customer support that doesn't really give an indication if this will be resolved in the near future or 6 months down the road (if at all). Count up the number of paying customers that can't play this game as intended due to this issue. In the very least, tell the community if there has been any further dialogue with Nvidia. Considering the game supports Nvidia graphics, then it is equally EA's responsibility to resolve the issue. This isn't an issue localized to a specific hardware model, it afffects an entire range of graphics cards on current generation Nvidia hardware.
If there is no resolution in sight then perhaps all affected users should be offered a refund for their purchase.
This maybe an Optimus problem.
Is there anyone here that can cofirm that his laptop doesn't have Optimus tech on it and still has that problem?
