Any chance any of you is using a Samsung SSD and have Samsung Magician installed? I have a Laptop also Clevo with AMD 7970M and experienced the same problem. After disabling Samsung Magician all was fine again. (Disabled all non windows services/programs in MSCONFIG and rebooted)
(I still have another issue where when i accidently press 'Capslock' it goes to windowed mode because it has to show me a popup telling me 'capslock is on' and i can't figure out which program is doing that)
Also some laptops come with those **bleep** 'fn-keys' software installed like for media keys etc, this sometimes causes issues also.
Second, a friend of mine had the same issue, i believe he has a MSI 60 something laptop with a 860M. After a complete reinstallation of the laptop and disabling Geforce Experience from the start his issues are solved.
I also think it has to do with the switching between 'intel->Nvidia' and the lack of driver updates due to this, when installing the latest drivers mine and his problem only got worse to a point we weren't able to detect/use the 7970M/860M at all.
The most annoying part of all this is that i notice a 'factory installation' mostly works best, as soon as you start updating drivers your screwed.
