So, I'm not sure if you noticed?
But I did contact support. I waited in a suport line for well over 3 hours in order to explain the problem. All they said was "yes that's the problem, sorry we can't do anything right now!" and sent me on my way. They told me there would be a patch (which there isn't) and that the problem would be solved 'soon' (which it wasn't). Why should more people be subject to sitting in queue for half their day when I've already got it and explained the issue and got the answer?
Also: What's the point of there being a 'me too' button if there's not point in using it? That's like putting a button on the side of the page that says "get 1 on 1 help now!" which redirects you to google. Someone programed that button, there's got to be a reason for it besides people looking at it and being like "Oh well, at least I'm not alone".
As for not real EA people using the forums, anyone with the user name EA_(name) is technically an EA employee. They usually help people with their problems, or tell people what the teams are doing, or say that they're aware of the bug and try to help out. In this case they've been completely silent since I was able to prove that it wasn't user error causing this bug.

They are employed to maintain the forums and/or support. I highly doubt they have any close connection with EA/Bioware staff. If they were, then I would expect that there would be some real answers.

Except if you look in other forums, for other games, there are real answers. They're not doing a very good job of maintiaining support if they're not supporting.
