i tried to miss a little with the settings and i finally was able to run the game on full screen and maximum resolution . btw I've gtx 860
follow these steps:
go to
C:\Users\ {your user} \Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save
or simply This Pc\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save
after that open this file using notepad : ProfileOptions_profile
then change those values as following:
FullscreenEnabled 0
FullscreenMode 5
FullscreenScreen 0
ResolutionHeight 1080 ( or whatever resolution you want )
ResolutionWidth 1920 ( or whatever resolution you want )
and that's it 🙂
please make sure that you create a copy of this file and paste it somewhere else so if anything went wrong after changing these values you can copy it back
i'm sorry if my english was bad 🙂 , have fun 🤫

That fix did not work for me. It just put it in to full screen window, which we already know works, but IT DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM
The problem is that people with certain cards or displays, cannot run the game well at maximum resolution. (For example if you have a 4k display...)
Putting it in to full screen windowed doesn't help fix this problem at all, in fact, only makes it worse.
It is the same with the "borderless gaming" fix as well. Guys, you don't need to edit text files or use third party programs to switch to borderless windowed mode, its right in the options and it works fine. That is not the problem.

Bro as i said , you can change the resolution from that text file as well
just change it to whatever maximum resolution your screen can display ...

Hey this actually worked for me on my Razer Blade 2015. And it is genuine full screen because in-game settings still say fullscreen. To those with issues I suggest trying this out. Thanks a bunch.

Unfortunately, even if the option says fullscreen, you are running it on windowed fullscreen. Try alt-tabbing for something, like open a browser - you will see that process doesnt pause and minimize - that is not fullscreen. And there is no performance gain. still waiting for a fix.

It minimizes just fine when I alt-tab.
