Forum Discussion
Hi,
I tried all suggestions so far, none worked . Can't play DAI in real full screen mode, only in Windowed Full Screen ( which is not the same )
This notebook i'm using has a GTX870m, when it was running Windows 7, DAI worked normally on full screen, i've updated to Windows 10 techprev, but it seems this issue that prevents DAI to go fullscreen is happening with everyone that has a M GTX ( maybe optmus with Windows 8 and upper ? ) , so i can't blame the Windows 10, the driver version installed here is 349.90, installed by the W10 update , but still doesn't fix the full screen issue.
I've played almost all my games ( Wonfenstein : New Order, Resident Evil ( 4,5,6 , Revelations, etc ) , Evil WIthin, Dragon Ball XV, etc ... ) all working normally, actually, faster than they were in Windows 7.
Just DAI has this issue so far. If anyone has any other tip , please let me know to try.
This notebook is only used for games, so no other app installed , just Origin, Steam and games, and has no bloatware as it's a Clevo based system, brandless ( actually is a BR Avell notebook).
My current settings are :
GPU : GeForce GTX 870M ( 6Gb VRAM )
CPU : Core i7-4710MQ ( NVidia as preferred GPU as standard )
Memory : 8GB
Res : 1920x1080,60hz
Driver : 349.90
OS : Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview
Same issue.
Nvidia GTX880M no fullscreen (I suppose I need to reestablish that windowed fullscreen is not fullscreen).
Performance is mfft at best
freezes in every other cutscene I have turned off my ultra wide resolution and run at 1080p which reduces the frequency of crashes but does not eliminate them.
Still waiting for some kind of fix.

Ok, i could "isolate" the issue ... It seems that it´s related to Windows 8.1 and upper and nVidia based notebooks with optimus.
I´ve re-formated my notebook and tryied all available flavors of Windows so far ... it worked with windows 7.0 and 8.0 ; it doesn´t work under windows 8.1 and 10 tech preview.
For now i´m staying with Windows 7, i really enjoyed windows 10, but as the game i most play now is DAI, and to use the full power of the GTX870m it must be on full screen ... Windows 7 stays, i´ll keep track of this forum and if the final solution is presented by nVidia or EA , i´ll update again to W10.
