[Old Report] EA servers are no longer available?

Had to reinstall DA:O and when I try to log in it tells me I'm not online (I am) and that 'EA servers are no longer available'. Uh.. that can't be true, can it?? So... I wonder if the primary prob...

The DAO servers where taken down last month.

I moved your post to a thread about the topic.

The DAO server where taken down last October. It will not come back online again.

The game itself is fully functional without the server.

I have downloaded the latest PC patch and am now past the error message re the EA servers but it still wants me to log in and wont accept the credentials I just used to post this message. It then prompts me to enter the key but when i enter this it comes up with an error (cos the servers arent there) so how do i start to play the game?

    Than I would suggest to redeem the key in Origin or EA app to get a digital copy of the game.
    
    You still should be able to install from disc.
