Its late I read it as asking "should i go buy physical instead" apologies. As for payment declines per the http://help.ea.com/en/article/origin-payment-errors/ faq:
Error Code 9002
There was a problem communicating with your payment provider that may only be temporary.
Try using a different payment method for your order, or simply come back and try to place your order again later after some time has passed

Why are you not accepting my Credit Card?
There are many reasons for a failed credit card transaction. Your card may have expired or reached its limit or a credit card computer, either on our end or your bank's end, may have encountered a machine error. If you do have problems, you can contact Customer Service. Please provide them any error message numbers you may have received, as well as the order number from the shopping basket.
Contact their customer service directly as it involves sensitive information (in this case billing issues with a sepecific account) they would be best able to help you troubleshoot purchasing issues with specific places. Any of the forum staff here will most likely not have billing system access.
Yeah I'm waiting in queue for a representative to chat with me about it. Both cards are fine and issued through different banks so something must be going wrong on EA's end, somewhere. Hopefully a CS Rep can clear things up. Or I'll just go to bed and check tomorrow to see if it's working. Thanks for the replies, though!
