Patch 1.04 not working

Dear Sirs or Madame, I have been playing Dragon Age 2 again, and I am having a problem with downloading the new patch 1.04, every time I try to download it , I'm kicked out and the internet closes down and restarts. I've tried other ways to fix the problem but nothing works . Could you please help. Thanks. Fred Perreault

Hello fredvdp,
I understand installing the patch 1.04 may have an impact on a particular quest, but since there is a workaround for it, I have the conviction that the benefit of having the latest version of the game is greater than the inconvenient.

I think this could be an issue with your anti-virus or a pop-up blocker. I have found this article: https://help.ea.com/article/programs-that-may-cause-conflicts-with-origin

Keep in mind that if you have The Exiled Prince installed, you don't want patch 1.04 because it's game breaking.
