I was using a Logitech F710 comtroller with no problems befor Patch #2 now I can't even play the game. I'm not familiar with the controller you have so this may not help your problem at all. Is the controller running in the new XMode or Direct Input? Direct Input and Xmode require different drivers in windows. The F710 has a switch for both and I'm using Xmode. You never have to change this once the controller is properly detected by windows because it has a button for switching between the two modes in game. If your controller has a switch for both then try this at the desktop not in game. Switch to the other mode and wait for windows to detect and install a different driver. In Xmode windows detects the F710 as and XBox 360 controller but Rumble Pad 2 driver will fail to install with hardware not found error. In Direct Input mode widows detects the F710 as a Rumble Pad 2 only. As a side note, rumble won't work in any game with F710 unless you do what I just stated first. Even Logitech's support forums don't have any info on getting rumble to work. So you realy need Direct Input drivers even in Xmode and your controller may require both mode drivers to.

I was using a similar model from a friend when I was initially troubleshooting, which had the two modes on it, however it was recognized by the computer, and in its device properties all of the buttons were operating correctly. Still only the same buttons as on my main Afterglow PL-6302 v3.3 were registering in game, which was mentioned in the first comment including the bumpers acting as the X, Y, A, B. Even on the Afterglow, the windows driver "ps3sixaxis_en.exe" installed and operated fine, and I'm able to play any other game using it without issue, the only game regardless of what controller is plugged in is DA:I. Hopefully that does help others though, and we can actually play this game. So far it has been a waste of time money.

Sorry wasn't clear, controller works fine even after patch #2. Problem is after patch #2 game freezes constantly and is unplayable.
