Patch 2 still has not resolved Logitech Controller Issue of Incorrect Mapping

This is still a MAJOR issue posted on multiple other threads and has not been corrected in the last patch. As posted on a previous unresolved thread:

I have tried using different versions of x360ce emulator (including Beta 2.1.2.191 as mentioned in below link*), reinstalling the game to a different HDD, trying multiple controllers with/without motioninjoy, unplugging keyboard/peripherals, using USB 2.0 and 3.0, disabling origin in-game, verifying with device manager that controller is recognized properly, you name it - I've done it.

The game knows that there is a controller plugged in but it recognizes the keys in the wrong spots and only a few of them. For instance: right tumbstick click = "start", right bumber = "A", left bumber = "Y", right bumber = "B", and I can only assume judging from the sound but no action that left trigger = "X". None of the other keys render a response and every possible combination/configuration of files using x360ce including "xinput1_3.dll" through "xinout_9_0_1.dll" will not register or fix the issue. I am mainly trying to get this to work on a Logitech Afterglow PL-6302, but I've tried another and newer model of Logitech (friends- can't remember model #), and also PS3 Dualshock. The Afterglow has proven to work with other games including Middle Earth: SOM running x360ce, and Star Wars Force Unleashed 2 without x360ce, so my knowledge of x360ce and the controller are not the issue.

I'm using a Windows 7 x64, NVIDIA GTX 750, Intel i7-4820K 3.7 GHz, 16GB RAM. The only conclusion I can reach is this game needs to be patched with updated gamepad settings. I shouldn't have to mention that I've spent numerous hours trying to fix a game I paid for last month and haven't been able to play yet because the controls are optimized for the main thing that doesn't operate correctly. PLEASE can you get a work order in the next patch (preferably soon) because playing with a keyboard and mouse is just not gonna happen the way this game is built. Getting close to refunding....

    i found the fix online so i thought i would share. Follow these steps:

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Files are located at https://code.google..../downloads/list

    The "x360ce" being "360ce.App-2.1.2.191.zip".

    The "64 bit libraries" being "x360ce_lib64_r848_VS2010.zip"

    1. Delete any trace of x360ce and all it's DLLS and files in DA:I folder (basically if you've been playing with it already).

    2. Take x360ce to an empty folder, run it (this will create an .ini and
    xinput1_3.dll). Configure your gamepad now. Save. Exit. Now move
    x360ce.exe and x360ce.ini to DA:I folder. DO NOT OPEN x360ce.exe inside
    DA:I folder anymore!

    3. Download the 64 bit libraries and copy x360ce.gdb, dinput8.dll, xinput1_3.dll to DA:I folder.

    4. Open x360ce.gdb with notepad and add these lines:

    [DragonAgeInquisition.exe]

    Name = Dragon Age: Inquisition

    HookMask= 0x00000002

    Save. Exit.

    5. Change "xinput1_3.dll" inside DA:I folder name to "xinput9_1_0.dll"

    6. This last part may be unnecessary, but I did it, and it didn't hurt.
    Open up x360ce.ini and add these lines (if [InputHook] and the HookMode
    lines are already there, just add the third HookCOM line to it):

    [InputHook]

    HookMode = 1

    HookCOM = 1

    7. Done.
