Patch for controllers

Is there any easy to use patch or program to use for xbox 360 game controllers for DAO on the PC. Using the mouse and keyboard is a pain indeed! I would rather use a controller but there seems to be no easy way to do so. I am not computer or program savy and can not seem to get the xpadder to work well at all. using xpadder is worse than the mouse and keyboard as it is not fully functional, and I spent hours following the directions and... (raspberry). Anything out there yet, have the game creators come uo with a patch or anything as yet? $30 is alot for a not excellent game play experiance, and I really like DAO. In short... HELP!?

Thank you muchly. I have however found the Pinnacle game profiler and it works very well and very easy to work with.

There are only other programs similar to Xpadder, sorry.

Why is there a "however"? You did what I said, replaced Xpadder with something else. That's a good outcome we both are happy about, right?
