If you go to the Bioware forums and click on Technical Support, it brings you here. Not really sure where else you would post stuff like this.
I'm now wondering if the problem is being caused by the Microsoft Visual C++ distribution that was installed with patch #2. Anyone know which on that was? I have several installed.

I have seveal Microsoft Visual C++ installs as well and none of them had a new install date. However, my restore points show that "Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64) - 11.0.50727" and "Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x86) - 11.0.50727" were both installed and or updated.

Just looked over the install log for DAI and looks like none of the Visual C++ stuff was installed. Installer already found existing/newer version and exited each time during patch #2 and hot fix. So doesn't look like that could be the problem after all. Also a restore was created for Visuall C++ 2012 (x64) v11.0.50727 when DAI was first installed. No restore points after that, so no Visual C++ installs for the patches.
There has to be a command line option that could help with this. You would think they have an engine option to adjust CPU cycles, wait times, something.
