i just did a fresh install while making sure i had all auto update settings turned off. i'm back to playing the game pre patch 2 and at a smooth 60+FPS on medium settings. i suggest everyone who is having stuttering/freezing to do the same until BW gets around to figuring out the problem.

I tried that with all update settings off, with my firewall and antivirus off and I got a better frame rate, but still got the freezing.
