After buying the game a few days ago I have had the same issue of lag and CPU usage at 95% to 100% even on the first load screen. Game is unplayable with the lag spikes ☹️ I was looking forward to the game but this just seems to have been a waste of my money 😕mileyfrustrated: I run other different MMO's and have never had this sort of issue.
My current machine is not a beast but it does ok.
CPU: AMD FX 4130 Quad Core 3.8Ghz
Ram: 8Gig DDR3
Graphics: NVidia GeForce GTX660 2Gig
I do not know what is going on but the suggested things to do have not made a difference to my in game lag.

Not sure if it was this thread or another that posted an "official EA workaround" but my performance issues were affected mildly deleting the cache files, they were not however removed. My frame rate still jumps around like an acrobat and I am still getting "camera jitter" which is making text in the UI unreadable. Amazing considering that outside of my crash issues this game ran very well on my PC prior to the patch. My CPU useage hovers around 35-45% while the game is running so the CPU isn't in a bind even when Intel Rapid Storage is running.
