Well, I think it's time to take things further.
Was trying to play yesterday and DA:I melted my CPU.
Everything was fine before patch 2, playing for hours on end with only minor stutters etc.
This 100% CPU usage thing is a mess of epic proportions and NEEDS to be fixed.
So far I have tried EVERYTHING posted in this forum to no avail.
Currently in talks with a solicitor/lawyer concerning EA/Bioware and fraud allegations regarding releasing a working product and patching said product into a non working/harmful state. Nothing may come of it, but the process is underway until such time as a patch solving the issues has been deployed.
I didn't want to do this but yesterday pushed me over the edge.
The sooner they fix it, the better.
PS, my specs etc are posted earlier in this thread.
Melted your CPU?! WTH, this game needs to be fixed. That's beyond insane at this point.

There's already been word of this happening, which is why I personally wouldn't touch this game with the patch installed. The problem is that bad. Try the memory leak fix posted above at the very least, it's worth a shot. Should be able to tell if it has worked within the first hour of play if not less.
At this point I've been trying to find some files to copy/paste and undo what they did to my PC copy in patch 2 at least for now... No success yet. I haven't touched my game since the 10th. I tried once but it crash while I was a crossroads standing of all things. It's very frustrating.

Because if YOU ARE serious, then we should be sueing EA because this is akin to releasing a faulty car.
