i just got this game last week after weeks of looking into it to make sure the performance is up to snuff. specially after getting call of duty and having crashes after crashes occur(yeah, stupid move on my part getting that game). the frist day i got it i had no problems beside latency issues and the gamepad not working which was an easy fix. now im crashing. mind you its not often and at random intervals but still crashing. i thought it was my gamepad vibration so i turned that off. it seemed to help but im still crashing. i just crashed not 5 mins ago and i decided to check forums to see if this is happening to other people. im somewhat dissappointed and happy at the same time that it is happening to others. it really crushes my spirit when i get a game and i cant even play it without getting crashes. i guess its my fault again for thinking a game will run just fine.
my specs should be good enough. im on the cuffs of recommended ram but i dont play it on ultra. after the crashes i dont even play it on medium.
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
AMD FX-8320
8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (PNY) driver version 344.75

I've pretty much installed everything as it was previously before reinstalling windows to resolve the massive frame rate drop and constant stuttering. None of the other "fixes" posted by anyone previously have worked for me except nuking my harddrive and starting from scratch. I was seriously considering a refund, something I never do, because this whole ordeal has been extremely frustrating.
Anyway, the game is now running as smoothly as it was pre-patch (again, i do currently have patch 2 installed now), so the only thing I can think of are runtime library conflicts (i had a ton of visual c++ libraries installed prior to reinstalling windows)... Sadly i couldn't say which ones conflict with the new patch, IF this is even the case.
I hope this info has helped someone.- 11 years ago
I have the same problem of 100% cpu usage after running mp for a while. it hits me out of the blue yesterday, and these past 3 weeks I have been playing mp exclusively for hours everyday and did not install anything new or did any changes to my computer except surfing and playing DA:I I had tried most of the fixes recommended in this thread, cleanmem, ccleaner+clear cache+clean boot etc to no avail since the problem hit yesterday, short of formatting and reinstalling windows...
